Common Experiences

So let’s lay down an example or two, some common experiences we might encounter that can point us in the direction of our past lives and the ripple effect they have across time:

1. You keep seeing that a particular lesson is taking center stage in your life. You can have communication problems, for example, in your friendships, at work or even as a barrier to your happiness (your voice feels stifled somehow).
2. You keep having dreams where you’re screaming and nothing comes out – or that you’re talking but no one in the dream can hear you.
3. You have people in your life who shhhhh you (infuriating) or keep tearing you down when you start to speak up.
4. You can try out for a play – and forget the lines or the words to the song.
   

Natal Chart Clues

All of these are examples of an issue with your voice, your 5^th Chakra/Throat chakra and your ability to communicate. In order to investigate, you might turn to your Guides for help (good), also stay more present during the day (mindfulness, also good), and if you’re curious about how you can follow this down in Astrology, you start to look for clues in your natal chart.

First, you may notice you have a lot of activity (planets, important points like North Node/South Node) in the signs of Gemini and Sagittarius. You also observe that your Third House and Ninth House are also *activated* by transiting planets right now – or how your natal chart is showing those Houses to be important (again, the presence of powerful planets, malefic planets like Mars or Saturn, or clusters of planets & points). In particular, the South Node points to Past Life mastery – what we have already achieved – but if there is an over abundance or absence of this sign’s energy, this can indicate a past life where we were using our powers to dominate or control other’s voices – or using our voice for nefarious means – disinformation, lying or manipulation. This is a karma that is asking to be balanced in this life, through your own healing and new ways of using this mastered skill.

Next, your Ascendant or Rising Sign points to important ways of living in past lives or roles you may be trapped in now that kept you safe in your past life. This creates karma for you to clear in this life. As an example, you may notice that your Ascendant is Libra. Libra can be (on the light side) a very diplomatic and even type of energy, but the lower vibe of Libra is to become a people pleaser and give away your power. If this is a lesson you are having, you can remedy this through adding a bit of Libra’s opposite sign, Aries, to the mix. Embody a bit more Emperor energy in your relationships to take your power back.

In general, the reason the Ascendant is so important here is that it is the precise moment you incarnated on this planet (why your accurate birthtime is so critical in determining past life karma or connections) and will point *back* to the 12^th House – the House of Past Life experiences. Also, the previous sign to the Ascendant shows a past life that is critical to your understanding of this one: the previous sign to Libra is Virgo. Virgo is the Sacred Servant – and you could have sacrificed your voice to the success of others – or the supporting of other’s goals rather than your own. The first step, as it always is, is to become awake to your essence as a Spiritual energetic being having a physical experience.
